Love You Like a Pop Tart
Here you are in front of me,
There's nothing else that I can think,
it's more than beauty what I need,
and you've got it all.
To everyone I say "I love her",
to you I'm quick to say "I adore ya".
You're like a pop tart out of a toaster,
you know I want you all.
Brown sugar cinnamon, is what I recall,
the good ol' days as I fall
in my entirety for that smile.
You've known that for a while,
even when the miles kept us far,
we were young but not hasty
to fall in love.
And now Amor, you're like a toaster pastry,
that sweetness and deliciousness
are perfect for my sweet tooth, and heart.
Strawberry, blueberry or any other classic,
yes, you've got it all,
it's superbly fantastic,
to see you learn about the world,
and as you quickly turn ecstatic,
soul sparkles burst amiably,
through your eyes and smiles.
Cookies n' crème, s'mores remind me
of the wondrous spirit of yours,
wandering in adventures with wonder,
as we chased one another,
to the coziest campfire,
where we'd pretend to be planets,
in a silly attempt to slow down time,
You, Venus, and me Mars.
Yes, you're hot and I'm red,
you caused these blushes that I wear.
Many marvelous nights,
we'd spend chatting about
books or purple aliens,
or favorite ice cream flavors,
while at the end I'd tell you
"You're the favorite flavor of mine"
and shortly after a tasty kiss,
"I love you like a Pop Tart!"
Breakfast
Not going to skip you today.
Cause I've heard everyone say,
you're the most important,
the grandest, nutritious meal,
and I get it, it's a big deal.
So, I'm not going to miss
the opportunity of deliciousness
in a bow, milk and cereal.
It's not as fancy as portrayed
in TV commercials, but it's a step forward
towards you and I being friends again.
There is the box with colorful art,
with shiny graphics that are
competing for your attention
as you walk down the grocery aisle.
It's a sunny day and I'm feeling rebellious,
so I grab the gallon of milk,
and I'm pouring it first.
Waves
Roaring waves on a starry night,
clinging from the dark,
hugging shores,
turning white.
Nearby soon they meet the sands,
of long islands and humid lands,
Atlantic stories they unfold,
powerful melodies they hold,
here's a loud one that passes by,
matching winds of the sky,
harmonizing once again,
a playful dance between them,
gently sharing a part of each other,
softly carrying away the warm water,
embracing life and venturing wildly
across the town, on this night so muggy.
Through these sticky windows,
by these soothing sounds, amazed,
I am mesmerized by the majestic waves.

Words
I can't stop thinking of words,
these mysterious things that cross my mind,
while they quickly dance around,
faster than a gossip in a small town.
There's the always powerful ones,
as they echo throughout history,
full of meaning and eternal glory,
firmly standing for humanity.
There's the warm ones,
said as a greeting or a feeling,
at a market or under the stars,
planting smiles and warming hearts.
Some others are left behind,
with no empathy in mind,
causing tears that start streams,
tearing starts of pristine dreams.
Many more are never spoken,
perhaps to avoid a heart broken,
but the true feelings will unfold,
through a nervous twitch or a smiley face,
somehow we can't escape, but embrace,
our genuinely powerful emotions.
And like the skies with the birds,
we're connected with words,
and more.

The Nature of Life
I've heard people say that life flows,
kind of like the waves that seek shores,
or maybe like the dance of northern winds,
or perhaps like the earth beneath our feet.
Could be the wandering of shining stars,
as they whirl through realms of galaxies,
or the fiery sparks of new-lovers' hearts,
as they eagerly imagine all the possibilities.
Repeated cycles on Earth and beyond,
resemble an open door when one shuts behind,
the blossoms in spring and yellows of fall,
it's just change and energy wherever you go.
Or like the ancient wisdom that is passed down,
through centuries and books to reach our time,
and minds with thoughts that make you sonder,
how bits of this cosmos are a stunning wonder.
It could be the little things, that leave us amazed,
when lost in a box or a tunnel, or the life-maze,
treasuring birds' symphonies and stoic trees,
morning rains, heartfelt smiles, dedicated bees,
and everything else that truly warms the soul,
making this wonderfully marvelous journey,
harmonically flow.

Letting Go
I remember the aftermath,
before we left,
We were holding hands and eyes in a stare,
you had to let go, it's okay, I said,
the shaking hands gave it away.
I knew my face couldn't match the feelings inside,
cause every second I see your beauty,
my stare softens like the clouds on a stroll,
it's the little things I adore,
and also your humble soul.
I've learned to appreciate you,
your mind and your heart,
also all the lessons learned since the start,
I understand you didn't want to be in doubt,
just in love.
